It's been a few years since I last used Acronis, and it seems to be very different. Is this still possible, and what method would I use to create it? Yes, after you install the software, there is a media builder in Acronis that will allow you to create a bootable USB drive. Although you can start these in Windows from Acronis, it is not recommended by me and other MVP's as it will modify the OS bootloader, then reboot the system into Acronis.
However, if something is not configured in the bios correctly for instance if safeboot is enabledthis will prevent Acronis from loading properly and then the bootloader may not get set back correctly.
Take a look at these tutorial videos - lots of good info about the newer interface and how to do full backup and recovery in Windows and with the recovery media.

Let's start with the basics. Basically, disk cloning is the process of perfectly copying every bit of information from one computer hard drive to another disk. Often, the contents of the first disk are written to an image file as an intermediate step.
